Lions McInnes House

The Lions McInnes House (The Group Home for Deafblind Persons, Brantford Inc.) is a specialized program that promotes a joint partnership among the individuals with deafblindness, their intervenors,  support team, advocates, and the community.

 

A deafblind person is an individual with a substantial degree of loss of both sight and hearing. This combined loss results in significant difficulties in accessing information and in pursuing educational, vocational, avocational, recreational and social goals.

 

We design individualized programs focusing on specific communication and intervention needs of adults with deafblindness. These programs are designed to provide their preferred method of communication, so that they may understand their environment and community while promoting the highest quality of life and independence.​
